Epoxy & Resin Floor Systems
Epoxy and resin systems are where concrete floors meet chemistry. Done well, they produce seamless, chemical-resistant, hygienic floors that last for years. Done poorly, they peel, delaminate and fail — and the failure is almost always in the prep. Epoxy & Resin Floor Systems takes you from material selection through to a professional finish. You’ll learn the physics of why prep matters more than the coating, how to match the system to the traffic and environment, and how to apply it without the classic bubbles, holidays and curing failures.
About this course
Epoxy and resin systems are where concrete floors meet chemistry. Done well, they produce seamless, chemical-resistant, hygienic floors that last for years. Done poorly, they peel, delaminate and fail — and the failure is almost always in the prep.
Epoxy & Resin Floor Systems takes you from material selection through to a professional finish. You’ll learn the physics of why prep matters more than the coating, how to match the system to the traffic and environment, and how to apply it without the classic bubbles, holidays and curing failures.
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Choose between epoxy, polyurethane and polyaspartic for a given application
- Test a substrate for moisture and profile before any coating goes down
- Mix, pot and apply epoxy with correct temperature and humidity control
- Eliminate bubbles, pinholes and roller marks
- Troubleshoot the five most common coating failures
You’ll need a solid grounding in surface prep — if that’s new to you, start with Polished Concrete Foundations first.
